GLOBAL SWITCH PARIS
Convergence is a site specific sculpture by Australian artist Chris Fox commissioned by LoveArt for Global Switch’s Paris Data Centre. It was produced during 2010-2011 between Sydney, London and Paris. The ambitious project utilises 370 metres of steel that was realised using intelligent modelling software and advanced fabrication techniques.
The sculpture converges above the visitor as it twists and travels through the lobby and atrium spaces and acts as the physical representation of the systems of the building. Convergence offers a dynamic and intuitive approach to the space by employing the actual services of the building and transforming its systems into an artwork.
